Post Screens - Hairnets!

Had a wild idea that a hairnet would make a good port screen. For once in my boating life something worked! On my CD30 they fit just right around the inside rim of the port and stay put. The mesh, while not as small as a screen, is more than adequate for Texas mosquitos.

Great idea!!! You should send it into Cruising World and/or Sail... they pay for good ideas.

I suppose if anyone wanted smaller mesh, they could secure it around the port with elastic for the same effect.

I use curlers as chafe protection on my stays. And a nylon stocking for a wind vane.
