Does anyone know how/where I might get a new toe rail for my '78 CD Typhoon?
Thanks,

Re: Toe rail for CD Typhoon
I made them myself. I bought 10 foot 1x3 teak and ripped them in half. I eased the edges with a router and countersunk the holes to be used for the stainless screws used to attach them. I had the whole works for less than $150 (including rub rails). They easily bent into place.
Good luck,

$225 plus shipping/tax for the toe rail, and the same for the rub rail. We have one set of toe rails with scuppers pre-cut in the aft section of the toe rail (made up for a customer and then lost for a while, so we had to make more).

I also made my own toe rail from a piece of stock. I replaced the port toe rail, the last 7+ feet. I found it to be difficult to bend into shape and I ended up cracking the teak. Someone suggested to me afterwards that I should have soaked the teak to make it more pliable. I may replace it again with since I am unhappy with the way it is now.

I got a rub rail from Mystic Marine. They were very helpful. They mill the stock a lot more accurately than anybody with a hand router could. All for not a lot more than the price of the raw teak. I don't think they do it for the money. They just love boats.
I can recommend them highly.
