How hollow are the spreaders?

I am planning on installing flag halyard on RESPITE. Are the spreaders hollow or solid castings? I'd like to know before I drill.

I installed flag halyards aboard Rhapsody at her last haul out (18 months ago) and they were hollow. I did the same to my previous boat(Catalina 27) and they were also hollow.

Thanks for the info. The CD330 has a wing shaped spreader bar. I think yours has a cylindrical bar.
I know that the section closest to the mast is hollow, but I don't know at what point--or if--it becomes a solid bar.

My CD36 has the wing-shaped spreaders, and I added a flag halyard last year. It was hollow out to about 1 foot from the end. It could have been hollow further out, but I didn't check.
