Kenny, I have hull #247 with a Volvo. I always put the trans. in reverse as I feel unnecessary wear will result from the free-wheeling of the prop and shaft. There is also a noise factor.

I have the same model as you in my CD30C. The manual says to stop the engine, then place in reverse to prevent wear on transmission.
