Two comments -- FIRST I am so impressed with this board and the useful information shared in good spirit specifically regarding CD's and in general regarding maintenance and sailing. Kudos to all. SECONDLY I have had many many conversations with people who would like to buy a new 18 - 23 foot daysailer/pocket cruiser. Their are some like Hunter/Catalina that are more toys than yachts, Schock has brought back the Santana 22 which is a fin-keel boat and Ensign Spars has reintroduced the Ensign (original Alberg/Pearson molds)specifically for racing, and then their is the Bullseye, which is quite small or custom wooden boats, that are a maintenance nightmare. I hope that any boat manufacturer who visits this sight will takes note that their is obviously demand for well built, fibreglass full keel daysailors/pocket cruisers and the older models -- as well as they were built -- will not last forever.

The new Ensign Spars boat is not just for racing. It's got all the usual daysailing stuff.
Although the new boats about $27,500 without sails or commissioning the marketplace also has a supply of them in the $6,000 range that do not need much work, and will outpoint and out run most all other similar sized Alberg designs.
Seat 7 for a daysail.
