Just an FYI to say I found replacement covers for my older datamarine corinthian series instruments. It seem DMI Marine has taken over the replacement parts business for Datamarine. Great people and service even for my $8.00 order. Located in Ma. @ (508) 564-7491.. and Kelsa, the girl who took my order sounds cute !

FREE DMI Marine Cover
Hello Capt. JT & Others;
I ordered a DMI cover by mistake for my Signet depth sounder...rather than send it back, it's available free to the first Cape Dorian that proves his worth...(round,and about 5" dia.)

Re: FREE DMI Marine Cover
Lou,
Here!!! (Hand raised)
I'll trade you a Dark and Stormy for it.
Right across the river, too. Shall we consumate our transaction at M & M's or wait until the CD raftup at Cape Lookout?
Regards,
Andy

A 'Worthy' Cape Dorian
Hello Andy;
Well, a "Dark 'N Stormy' would be 'real nice', and the cover's yours, if you can translate the Latin Phrase below my name...I'll bring it to the Cape Lookout Raftup...see ya!

Re: A 'Worthy' Cape Dorian
I had a bad time with Latin. All I remember is, "Latin is a dead language, dead as it can be. First it killed the Romans and now it's killing me."Lou Ostendorff wrote: Hello Andy;

My rough translation would be something esoteric like: knowing where one is going is important but one must stay alive to appreciate the experience.
Close enough to get you a D & S and me an instrument cover???
Ooooh Rah (that can't be Latin) and Semper Fidelis,
Andy

Close enough...
Andy!!!!
Well, I didn't know any Latin before I found this phrase, except 'Carpe Diem'...but loosely translated, it means...
"Sailing is necessary, mere living is not"...don't you think this would be appropriate for most Cape Dorians? Additionally, I think it's a 'worthy' aspiration and motto for the CDSOA...maybe we could get the incumbent Officers to adopt it and print it in the next Membership Listing...
