Hello, Does anyone know where I can get my Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fuel system filled. My Cape Dory 30K is located in Sacketts Harbor, NY.
P.S. just a reminder, remeber to check to see if all your lines are in before you start your engine. I went swimming this weekend to remove my jib halyard from the prop...,. They say it happens to most of us at least once.

Check out the link below for CNG refill stations in NY state. I recommend you call ahead and be certain that the certification stamp on your tank is no older than 5 (I think) years. Ask the refill station, they will know.
In NC, the gas utility provides refill services, but only at their maintenance yards. Tanks are recertified by National Welders, a national chain for welding supplies. Each service costs around $15 here.

Give Brewers Marine a call. They have a replacement program where you drop of your old empty tanks and they will give you two full refurbished replacement tanks. I utilized this service in their Mamaroneck store last season.

But Check the Price You Pay for Convenience
Beaufort Marine used to do that too. They had a warehouse sale last year and were trying to get $50 for full tanks that were out of certification and not very pretty. Recertification of our empty tank and refilling cost $30 and a bunch of time, so convenience may be an issue.
