You could check with BOATUS, they had a list of surveyors for their insurance programs.

I would be most pleased to recommend a gentleman name Jack Robertson to do any survey work you may need. I met him some years ago in a boat yard in Amityville (Sailor's Choice). Jack was discussing a survey he was completing on an S2 that was struck by lightening but no reported by the seller of the vessel. I was struck (no pun intended) by his deductive logic. Consequently I called the man when I was purchasing a CD25D some months later. A second surveyor I believe to be well versed on sailboats is Steve Brice who owns that same boat yard in Amityville. By the way, Jack Roberston also lives in Amityville.

Good luck.

Yes both are from Amityville and would fill your need for a survey. I've known Steve and his Dad before him for years. Steve is a member of our South Bay Cruising Club and proprietor of Yacht Services Ltd (the boat yard) here in Amityville. Steve has an O'Day 40, Busmans Holiday, which he sails on the Great South Bay. I know of Mr. Robertson but have not had the pleasure of meeting him.
