Bilge Paint?

Post by Chris Reinke - CD330 »

I have been motivated by a previous posting from Pat Turner to clean and paint my bilge and the interior of various lockers. He provided some great pictures of his refit and it looked GREAT.

Any suggestions on a suitable paint to use?

I would use gelcoat. If the textured surfaces like the roving surface on the inside of a CD hull (gelcoated from the factory) are painted then they can become a real problem later if you ever need to do any glass work in those areas and you have painted them rather than gelcoated them.

It is like the tan color on the deck...does not scuff...one part poly
It is not the same "Grand Banks Biege" as offered by other manufacturers...
