My 81 CD25 only has DC, Im working on the AC, You know a silk purse on a sows ear? I never did understand that saying, and not sure why I would need it since I'm not living aboard... But you never know one or two more gagets and I may be living aboard :~)

It sounds like dc is standard and ac is owner installed. If you have dc only, whats the process on keeping your battery/batteries charged up? thanks.

I just flip the switch over to 1 & 2 and clip on my leads to the + and - bus, it is a marine/auto charger designed for deep cycle ( so the book says) My goal is also to put in a ac/dc panel and power inlet with a permanente charger/GFI outlet in cabin. Currently only have two group 24's, when they get another year or two on them I will upgrade to a pair of 27's

A silk purse is a nice good looking women's accessory. A sow's ear is just that, an ugly pig's appendage. So it goes you can't make a beautiful thing out of a crappy ugly thing.
