I am considering purchasing a Simrad WP 10 Autopilot. Does anyone out there have any feedback on this model ? With a little one on the way I am going to need to single hand this summer.

Re: Simrad WP 10 Autopilot
Lyle,,
I've had the Simrad autopilot on my MKII for a few years now and I haven't had any problems with it. There has never been any conditions for which the autopilot could not keep up or handle. I think it is made to handle a boat up to 40'. Also, there is no "black box" to mount under the deck, etc. Everything is housed right there at the wheel.

I have the model that will accept a GPS. NEMA stuff...i think that is the WP30

Re: Simrad WP 10 Autopilot
They are actually Navico units. Simrad bought Navico out and put their name on all the pilot products. Just ask anybody that has a Navico how happy they have been with it and that will be accurate feedback on the Simrad/Navico pilot.
