CD31 Propellor

Anyone with a CD31 who can tell me the exact size of their propellor and # of blades - I would greatly appreciate it. Also if they are satisfied with the performance. Thanks

Mystical has a 3 blade bronze prop which is stamped with the designation "13 x RH x 12". I am not sure but I believe the 13 is the diameter and the 12 is the pitch. As far as performance is concerned, I'll swear by it.

Perfect. That is exactly what I needed to know from another CD31 owner. If I am to order one, however, I need to know which of the numbers is which. Is your boat out of the water still? Is it possible to confirm which is pitch and which is diameter. I am very grateful form your speedy reply!

The first number is always the diameter and the second number is always the pitch. The RH means "right handed" some props turn the opposite direction and are known as "LF" or left handed. You have to specify that as well as the diameter and pitch when you order a prop.
Are you sure you currently have a 15 inch prop on there? I didn't think a 15 inch would fit in the opening on a 31 withut hitting the rudder when it's hard over.

I am on my way to the baot this am and I will look again. I am telling you - it only has about 1/2" clearance at the top. That is why I think that it is too large. Report later today after finishing sanding the teak! Thanks folks

Re: Last request

I have located a place in Mass. that has both the Michigan 13/12 and 13/10 in stock. Now I just have to choose between the 2 by Monday morning. The man says that the motor will work less with the 12/10. I don't know if it makes that much difference. They are both so radically different than what I have. What I have has "Mickey Mouse Ear" blades and lookls like a power boat prop. Any last comments on the choice between the 13/10 and the 13/12?

Thanks
