My Typhoon has usable Gibb winches, but I should think about replacing the pawls and springs. So far after searching on Google, etc. I haven't been able to locate a source for Gibb winches. Does anyone have any information that might help?

I might, and it might not help.
5 years ago I tracked the US distributer down, thanks to the guys in the Schaeffer booth at the Annapolis sailboat show. The distributer, a small company in Florida, said there was only one type of repair kit and sent it to me. It was totaly wrong. I cleaned up the old pauls with a file and they still work fine.
I may still have the distributers name in my file at my weekend house. If I dig it up this weekend I will post the contact info.
