Can anyone with a bulkhead mounted compass on a CD 28 tell me if it is necessary to have a teak fairing block between the compass and the fiberglass? The compass I removed did not. Would it make a great difference in normal performance? Thanks. Bill

Not required. Be careful what's on the other side of the bulkhead, though, with or without a fairing block.
