t-track slide for whisker/spinnaker pole set up on Typhoon

Post by John »

Looking for a spinnaker track car for 3/4" track on my mast. I know that Shaefer makes a 3/4" track car, but the loop is oriented in-line with the track. The spinaker track cars I've seen have the loop perpendicular to the track, but I can only find them for 1" and 1-1/4" track. Does anyone have any ideas of where to look?

are you sure of the dimentions of your track. On my typhoon the genoa slides are 3/4 inch however my pole track is 1 inch and it is original. I use a Shaefer towable car for 1 inch track the bottom has a bungee cord attached near the base of mast and the top has a line running up to a block and back down thru some turning blocks and aft to cockpit all this so pole height is adjustable from cockpit, Similar to what you find on larger boats. The Upper block is a double since it also handles the pole topping lift.
