Thanks for input re: major negatives CD 25
Thanks to all the kindly captains who sent their comments on a CD 25.I'm sold! Now all I have to do is find one! Any leads greatly appreciated. I'm in the Boston, Ma. area but will consider anything in the northeast. No E Mail as yet-phone:781 461 8252 or post on this site. Thanks again. Bill Storey.

Bill,
There's a '77 CD25 for sale at the URI foundation. These are donated boats, so I have no idea what kind of shape they are in.

Bill, You can also go to a Web sight called "StarboardTack.com" this site has 17 different places you can click on and go to for buying sail boats. 2 of them( Boats.com,& AmericanBoats) you can even select what region you want to buy in. Good luck. J-

In the Boston area, it's tough to beat the Want Ad. It costs about $2/week, but it's well worth it. These are all private sales, and the site has a search feature. There are two CD25s and a Typhoon in there now. Hardly a week goes by without a CD or two being listed, as Boston is CD Mecca.

Bill, if you go to the web page I mnetioned before, and click on the one called "BucNet" put in the length of like 22' (it'll give you larger) Keep evrything else pretty general. then you should find the one I just saw. 1977 CD25 in VERY good condition. If you have problems finding it call me at the number I left on your machine, or email me at Triquane@cox.net good luck, John

Bill,
Two of the finest Cape Dory 25s afloat (in my humble opinion) are stitting on berths about 100 feet apart in Beverly, MA as we speak. As the owner of one of them (Allia), I would be happy to have you aboard this weeked to take look at what a good one looks like, and I might even point out some flaws. The other boat, owned by John Ring (sailorjon), is just as nice and ready to sail (mine is still torn up due to some spring projects). I'm sure John would let you poke around, too.
Let me know.
