Jib boom trim - CD28

I just bought a CD28. I took it out for my first sail this weekend and am a bit perplexed about how to properly trim with the jib boom. The sail seems to be twisted in a reach. The top of my sail is twisted out so the top most leeward telltale is fluttering, while at the same time the bottom most windward telltale is fluttering. The best I can do is get the middle two telltales of the sail trimmed properly.

I messed with the outhaul, but predictably, this didn't seem to have any effect. While I can get any two telltales trimmed properly, sheeting in and out only moves the correct trim up and down the sail leaving the rest untrimmed. It seems like I need some way to pull the boom down in order to pull the clew down. I guess I should've gone forward and just pushed it down to see, but I didn't think of it. The sail was inspected just a couple years ago and found to be in good shape. It hasn't seen enough action since then for me to believe anything has changed dramatically.

Any suggestions? Is there something I should do with the rigging, or am I overlooking something obvious?

Try moving the traveler car to the outside position. This car is a bit sticky unless cared for well, so it may be staying in the center position, which would give you that twist you are talking about.

I believe that this is considered normal. Just trim to the middle tell-tales as you have been doing.
