WHAT TO DO?? FRUSTRATED!!

I have been trying ,to no avail, to apply Armada's MC2000 to the teak on my CD28. Bubbles form at joints and elsewhere and allow for water infiltration over short periods of time. Called Armada and was told that they have been getting similar as well as other complaints with this product. They encouraged me to go with the original Armada. The problem is that I am partial to the high gloss look.

Will someone please advise. What kind of look will I get from the original Armada?? Should I consider something like Interlux spar varnish. All help appreciated and thanks in advance for all responses.

I have used cetol successfully for quite some time. I put on two coats of the colored stuff with v e r y light sanding in between each coat and then one coat of the clear gloss. Looks like gloss varnish and lasts a lot longer. Repairs to minor thin spots are just a quick light scrubbing with a wet/dry and soap and then another coat of clear. Nice light color when done.

If you are really interested in high gloss, the original Armada is probably not for you. I've been using it for years, and find it easy to live with, very easy to maintain and apply (but it will lift from wet wood, so you need to make sure that your joints are sealed. However, it is only semi-gloss.

Is there some special caulking or wood putty that should be used to seal the joinery or will the varnish or Armada do the job?
