Cockpit Lockers....need hardware and........BANG!!!!!!

Larry,

I have one of those spring gadgets on my (rented) dock box; I use a stick to keep it from hurting me. I think it must have experienced some overtravel once or twice. Maybe the wind caught the cover and stretched that spring a little? I really should remove it altogether so no one else will be surprised by it.

I am looking forward to a full report on your gas strut experimentations.
