Hi to all
many resonded to my request for information, however, after a visit to the boat, I have come up with another idea. How about this.
Instead of using two cheek blocks (each just aft of the reefing clew), would it work if I use one double cheek (mounted in the same location as the one on the boom already), and led both lines through it , then forward on the starbd side of the boom to individual cleats (or would one cleat work for both)?
Just wanted some opinions prior to making the upgrade.
Thanks

In my opinion, this arrangement would place the second-reef block too far aft. It may give you adequate tension horizontally, but probably not vertically, with the result that the clew will be farther above the boom than you'd like, and it could be difficult to tie in the aft-most reef point.
About the cleating: When I have to add a second reef, I generally leave the first in place (except at the tack
