I've posted some pictures of My CD25 being lifted and set down on a trailer to be towed with my Dakota if anyone's interested.

Scott,

Thanks for the pictures. A few questions. Where did you get
the trailer? Approximately how much weight are you towing?
Finally, what size engine do you have in the Dakota? I've got
a 25D that I've considered storing at home. I've got a fixed
cradle with out a trailer.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

I got the trailer from a gentleman in Florida that owns a cd25 and had no need of his trailer any longer. As far as the weight, I'm only guessing but if the CD25 is listed at 4000 lbs, I guess the trailer weighs at least 1500. It's all steel, no alluminum. My eninge is a v-6,3.9liter. It was pretty much level driving here on I-95 the whole way. I don't think I could take it over any mountains with it. I'm sure your 25D is a much bigger boat. Paul Shultz that posts on this site has a trailer he uses for his CD27. He may be able to answer some questions for you also.

Scott:

I understand that you are in New Bern, NC. If you ever want to know how much it all weighs, call me and you can bring it to my office in Pollcksville (Hobby Marine) and I will weigh it for you. I have a truck scale that will weigh up to 60,000 pounds.

Best of luck with the new boat. Remember, the two happiest days in a boater's life are when he buys a boat and when he sells it to buy another (maybe bigger) boat.
