sink replacement

Post by Steve Alarcon »

Here's one I've never seen posted...

Has anyone replaced the sink in their Cape Dory? Mine is toast, and when I got it out it had a sticker on it indicating that the manufacturer was Vollrath Company. Unfortunately, they are no longer in that line of business. I've been through all the catalogues, and can't find a replacement that is the correct size (22.25 x 13.75 x 7.75).

Any ideas?

Steve,

Maybe Robinhood would give you a clue?

what you want to do is find a local r/v place or catalogue-the sinks in r/v are stainless steel-exactly the same as what you will get out of a marine store-only cheaper (surprise)-they have dozens of sizes and configurations-you can also get all the freshwater hoses, fixtures etc. The interior of an r/v is very similiar to a boat-they are both fiberglass-and alot of the stuff is interchangeable-see ya

Hi,
The Vollrath Company do sink for restaurant,bar...
Just go to a retailer in business of commercial store. You will have a lot of sinks mades for a bar and the sinks are the same as in your boat.

Link to Vollrath - Maybe it is a custom product?

I don't see any product line called "sinks," but maybe you can ferret it out.
