Just to post this. My friend who works at North sails showed me a new 3DL process laminate sail. They can basically build a sail in 15 minutes. The price... 27' luff 11'7" foot=retails at $1500 and will only weigh in at about 10 lbs.. Not a bad price especially when ordered in the fall season. They are able to build sail up to about a 13' foot. It's called the 3DL/RM. For you guys with the bigger boats they make a 3DL/RX don't have prices on that series. Minimum luff 29.5.
Just fwiw..2 years ago a 3DL main was quoted at $2500 for my CD25..technology is a wonderful thing.
