has anyone every removed their bomar hatches for repainting/rebedding/regasketing?
are they through bolted?

I removed mine last year for leak solving. Mine were not through bolted. They had about fifteen or twenty screws that hold it in place. Plus a lot of bedding. Be careful when you pry it off, the wood down below is bonded to the frame pretty tight. I split some of the wood on mine before I realized it.
