North snuffer v. ATN ?

Post by Larry M »

I have narrowed the search for a new asymmetrical spinnaker to North or Quantum. the North loft wants to use a North snuffer that is made by ATN but appears to be made of an injection molded sleeve. Has anyone had any experience with this snuffer or good or bad experience with the mesh ATN.
Thanks,

Larry,
I don't know what you're referring to when you say a "mesh ATN" but FWIW, I bought a used North Assymetrical last summer for my CD30. It doesn't have the familiar polymer bell. It just has a stainless ring sewn into the end of the sleeve attached to the sally line with a three part bridle. I was a little skeptical of it at first but, so far so good. Haven't had any problems snuffing with it. Hope this helps.
Good Luck,
