Cruising With Zeal ( Can't Hep Mysef )

Hi All
Recently Dave Potts said that a racing friend of his decided; after some debate, that Cape Dorians are "cruisers with zeal". I was reminded of this again today and I have been laughing all morning. I can't get this image out of my mind.
I picture myself aboard Suzi Q. We are close hauled. We are moving through the water at about 5 knots. I am grinning from ear to ear. Unwilling to relenquish my seat or cold beverage to trim the sails, I urge Suzi Q through the water with every fiber of my being toward some unpressing anchorage. Released from the hold of terra firma, we may as well be flying.
I think, as Dave said, that "Cruisers with Zeal" pretty much nails it, on and off the water. It is a title I can relate to.

A true Cape Dorian, you are! A man to be admired! I'm planning on getting a tillerpilot this year. I'm also planning on bringing many lines aft to the cockpit. For "public relations" purposes, I let it be known that I am going to all this trouble and expense strictly to enhance safety aboard Sine Qua Non. But we all know differently, don't we. What a delight to never have to move from the cockpit to do anything when the beer and sandwiches miraculously appear from below. That's when you really see the zeal aboard! HA!
