I'm looking for a good book on marine weather (understanding it and forecasting it) for sailors. There are quite a few books out there, but I'm interested in what others have found not only explanatory, but actually useful.
Thanks--

Re: Recommendations Wanted: Wx Book
Two books that I find to be of use are a little book by Watts (Alan??)on self-prognosticating the weather from what you see around you. Exact name skips my memory at the moment, but can look it up at home tonight if needed. Watts is the author.
The second one is a fairly new book by Dashew on Weather. Got it for Xmas, but have not used it aboard yet. Seems of help to others too. It is mentioned on rec.boats.cruising.

Re: Recommendations Wanted: Wx Book
The best book I've read on weatheris "Weather for the Mariner" by William J. Kotsch. USCG once used it in their weather course.Mario wrote: I'm looking for a good book on marine weather (understanding it and forecasting it) for sailors.
