I just put a 10" deck hatch (because I had it) in the bulkhead, below the sink, in the head, of From Now On and I was able to stuff 8 rolls of paper towels and 6 rolls of TP, in there. Theres a lot of space behind and around the sink! The drawer still works but could get jammed, a small price to pay for lots of paper towels, I'm so happy.

Re: CD25D storage
Good idea. I was wondering how to access that area. I thought of putting some items, little used in there by accessing it from the drawer also but couldn't put items as large as paper towels in it.
Thanks.

Re: CD25D storage
Hello Bruce
There are two other voids (that I have found) in the interior of a 25D. One under the footwell of the port berth, and on aft of the water tank in the quarter berth. the latter is fairly large. I have installed a six inch round inspection port in the port footwell and will at some point install something in the quarter berth.
Also, has anyone looked at the area behind the fuel tank? I have, but only breifly. There appears to be a fairly substanial storage potential (for stuff which do not require frequent access and that doesnt effect trim) there as well. And for that matter, has anyone explored tha area under the battery shelf. If you could cut an opening there (oblong maybe) you would have room to store oil, and some other supplies, IF it (cutting the hole) wouldnt weaken the shelf (hadnt thought of this one before). However, I wouldnt want to put much weight there due to battery weight and trim factors.

Re: CD25D storage
Our 25D now has a secord battery placed below the sink in the head. It required a shelf and an axtension toward midships but it balanced out the boat which listed ever so slightly to port prior to the modification. Come spring I photograph and place the details on this message board (never photo'd the project before).
