On Dayspring, CD30, I have rewired the mast recently using an 8 core 2.5mm2 cable...at the base this will come out to a Mini Burton connector, with a socket sealed into the deck. These are deep water ROV connectors, not cheap, but of the best construction. In the head lining the socket end pigtail wires connect by crimp splice into the permanent wiring. In the mast the connector pigtail is likewise connected to the 8 core mast cable.

So when you want to pull the rig, you unplug it...

A professional solution...as I say, not cheap, but you can forget your mast wiring woes for a long time.
