Santa was GOOD ! ! Got me a 2002 edition of Eldridge Tide & Pilot, and a wind speed meter(to allow us to guage speed of wind over the deck) that will help determine when it is time to REEF! No new mains'l under the tree though, he musn't have got the WHOLE list!

First mate got me a set of Fujimora binoculars with a built in compass. Unfortunately, the binoculars, the GPS that she got me last year and the Coastal Navigation Course that I recently completed have taken away all of my good excuses (reasons) for getting lost.

Yes- very Interesting!!! I have admired and lusted for a CD TYPHOON for at least the past 15 years. My lovely bride of 36 years spent the last four months on an incredible secret mission. She organized my two sons , my in-laws and herself and located a beautiful Typhoon that was for sale. Yes - after a blindfold ride to an unknown marina, my family took the blindfold off and presented me with a very spiffy 1975 CD Typhoon. Absolute ,total surprise!! Guess who is putting on the long johns and going sailing this weekend.What a way to ring in the New Year. No words can say thanks enough.
