Motor for TY

Using the factory motor mount, how long should the motor shaft be measuring from the top of the mount to the center of the blade? Is three horse enough for a kicker? Thanks and Happy Holiday...Bill

Bill, I've got a 3.5 HP Nissan with a 20" shaft mounted on the
standard bronze mount on my Typhoon and it works great. Good luck.
