I had always seen the earlier CD25 advertised as a "Cape Dory" company design and wondered where the boat design came from.
I have found a couple of web sites which some of you may find interesting as to its origin as the Greenwich 24 (1968-1972).
These sites have photographs and specifications for the original design before Cape Dory redesigned the boat as the CD25.
Fine looking boat......

Re: Allied Greenwich 24 and the Cape Dory 25
Folks,
After trying a number of times to get into the WEB site www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Arcade/9282/index.html and
www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Arcade/9282/seawind.html , I have found that it is not always successful. There may be something wrong with the site.
I have had to come into the site in a roundabout way. I can consistantly go to www.yahoo.com and perform a "search" with the words "Allied Boat Company". From the search result, I then choose the "Allied Boat Company" which has the description:
http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Ar ... index.html
From this Allied Boat homepage you can take a look at the Greenwich specs and line drawings as well as the Allied Boat Company History.
Once the site is saved as a bookmark on my web browser, it seems to work everytime.
