Would appreciate suggestions regarding configuration (and source) of a non-removeable type of beam-mounted boarding ladder. I should like it to swing up out of the way when docking.

Beam- mounted swim/boarding ladder?

Re: Beam- mounted swim/boarding ladder?
Tony,
Just watch out how the ladder is oriented in relation to your jib sheets. On our CD-27 we had the brackets for the removable type of ladder beam mounted and it fouled the genoa sheets every time we came about. Just something to think about.

Re: Beam- mounted swim/boarding ladder?
Tony, I just installed a West Marine folding 4 step swim ladder last week on my CD25D. Two flat plates attach to the deck (I thru-bolted and used large fender washers and 3M 5200). The installation is clean and efficient, and the mounting is secure. When the ladder is not in use, it folds in half, and fits very neatly in the port side cockpit locker. I store it vertically, and hold it in place with a custom sized blue "bungy" cord. Worked "like a dream" last weekend!
