Looking for reasurrance from CD25 owners

Actually I was geting some lift allowing me to head more Northerly and getting an easterly tide set. Unfortunately the wind ocillations were moving more frequnetly to the East ..I was counting on a bit more lift from the Northeast..Oh well...Enjoyed racing with ya..just goes to show how great these boats can be. BTW will be racing John Laton's CD25 in the Mayors Cup Race Aug 5. We need a pirate intimidator....

We've now spent about 20 days sailing our "new" 31, and we find that she settles into a groove when heeled about 17 degrees. This keeps the rail just out of the water. (We know this because we measured angle of heel for several hours when hard on the wind under main/staysail/yankee in 12-15 kts. in order to set the port and starboard locking points for our new gimballed stove. She heeled about the same under staysail and single-reefed main in a blow. She would occasionally lie down to about 20 degrees in a puff.) She handles well at this point (no rudder stalling, no speed loss), although it seems like we're heeling more than we did when our CD27 achieved a similar kind of equilibrium.
