Wondering, on my CD25, how do I get to the nuts under the liner in order to remove lifeline stanchions? Is the liner structurally significant in the Cape Dory 25? I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this and has wisdom to share. Thanks

If your set up is anything like the 25D, then the nuts are a bear to get at. As you probably know its a two man job, and I used a standard box end wrench and alot of cuss words to get them off. Only about 2/3 way through the job (re-bedding and all) I realizied that I had forgot to replace the backing plates and had to do it all over again!!! Not a good day. All that aside, the stanchions are for now water tight, and it was a tough job (just getting to the nuts under the liner). Good luck.
