Looking for some input on usefull sites you all check out. Are there some with more features, more accurate, or just cooler that I have yet to discover? Thanks for your time. Will

Will,

Being an avid windsurfer, I use iwindsurf.com for coastal/bay wind speed. I feel they are way more accurate than NOAA for the area they are forecasting. Pretty good at predicting coastal thermals too. They update 7:00AM/11:00AM/6:00PM every day. Downside: you have to pay for it, although I think they give out a free trial period.

Cheers,
Chris

Check out the NOAA resources and weather links available from my web site at:

If you plan on sailing on the ocean, make sure to check the sea state analysis for either the Atlantic or Pacific at the Marine Prediction Center's web site.

lake michigan weather...

Post by steve marcotte »

For anyone sailing Lake Michigan out of Chicago- this site has terrific updates on current conditions. Being a CD owner, I'm always struggling with a decision as to whether or not there's enough wind (6 knots won't move even a CD25)... Now I logon for off-shore conditions!!!!
Fantastic site!
