Summer 2001
Good morning, Brian Corrigan here…….I have a 1979 Cape Dory Typhoon "Overnighter" for sail. 18' 6" she sits on a custom trailer that can be adjusted to handle up to a 25' Cape Dory. No berths below, dry storage & room for a head cockpit berths. Sloop rig, original factory deck hardware. I have sailed her on Lake Tahoe, Lake Powell, to the Channel Islands off Santa Barbara, and hauled her to Guymas Mexico where I crossed the Gulf of California to Baja south to La Paz. I purchased her [Puffin II] in 1992 from a fellow who had just returned from a solo gunkhole from Dana Point, Ca. To Costa Rica and back on the water for 18 mos. The time and effort that went into the construction is admirable. She stands today ready to sail where u will.
Three bags, cast bronze aux. mount….up to 6hp…….I never use an aux. so a motor is not included. I live in Phoenix and she is currently in a barn. I need [$ 8500.00] on the trailer. Without the trailer [$6500.00 u.s]
Again, this is a sloop with teak toe railings, coming…. the spar sits on the keel not on the cabin top, easily demasted for trailering thru a opening on the cabin top which has a leather boot….she is a joy to sail. Open to delivery suggestions self or
