I have a Cape Dory 25D built in 1982. I am trying to locate a simple transom mounted boarding ladder such as was available for the boats when new.
The ladder I have in mind is visible in the front page photo of the 1983 25D sales brochure. This photo can be seen on the web at: http://members.aol.com/darenius/CD25D/CD25D.HTML.
Information regarding the original supplier or a suitable alternate would be most appreciated. Thanks, John

Re: CD 25D Boarding Ladder Question
John,
You may want to look at M+E Marine Order No.01238 (Model 19249) or Order #01047 Model 19245, page 223 of the 1997 catalog. These are 18-8, 1" OD, SS one piece transom mounted sailboat ladders which are 36" (4 step) and 46" (5 step) in the offset design which folds up to the stanchion rail. It is as close to the orginal design that I have seen. Manufacturer is not clearly indicated but may be EEz-IN. Ladder is standard 15" width. In 1997 the price range was $140 and $160 respectfully.

John, if you see this, please e-mail me. I tried e-mailing you, but apparently the address that is loaded on your BB message is incorrect. Bob Ohler... (CD25D owner)

Re: CD 25D Boarding Ladder Question
Thanks to those who responded to my question. For your and anyone else's information I eventually found exactly what I was looking for.
The original supplier of all stainless tubular fabrications (railings, swim ladders, lifeline stancions, etc.)for all Cape Dory models is still in business and is known as Ocean Engineering/Bellmore Johnson Co. They are located at 242 Branford Rd., North Branford, CT 06471 phone (203)488-8960. They still retain all of the original drawings and can produce items to order.
