After living aboard for 12+ years, and now living on land for the last 2 years, along with my age, it has become apparent I need to sell s/v Mathilda.
Currently berthed on the Hood Canal in WA.
I will try to have pictures over the next few weeks...
In the meantime, some basic info:
She has less than 2 full seasons on the standing rigging, which was all replaced about 10 years ago.
The Nanni N2.14 has maybe 300 hours on it.
All the sails were new, from North, about the same time as the rigging. The main and 95% jib need to be cleaned. The 105 and Code 0 have very little use.
The storm jib and trisail have never been used.
One 22lb Mantus on 75' of chain and 150' of 1/2" 3 strand and the same rode setup, but with an original Bruce.
Pulpits and lifelines removed.
Jacklines on Kong carabiners on roof, deck.
6'8" FRP lapstrake dinghy with Van Fancy spruce spoon oars.
Bridge deck 4:1 mainsheet arrangement.
Real bowsprit with Pardey bronze dual rollers and a samson post.
Davey cast iron wood/coal stove.
Single burner pressure kerosene stove, gimbaled. Plus a complete extra stove and parts.
Lavac manual head with spare parts and 10 gallon tank, with thru hull.
All of the thru hulls, seacocks and hoses were done the year after the rigging.
10 gallon ice box with cold plate, insulated.
Two group 27 batteries with a small solar trickle charger.
There is some work to do:
The hatch needs to be replaced - I have the parts and have started it, but right now I have too much on my plate to finish it.
She needs a good cleaning, topside and bottom paint, and zincs.
She also needs cushions. I outlived my first set, and haven't gotten new ones.
The sailing library on board goes with her...along with a bunch of parts, fasteners, rope, etc.
I hope someone will follow through on my original aspirations of traveling with her, not just sailing her.
She is set up for one, maybe two, people to go most anywhere there is water and a breeze.
I originally paid $17k for her, and I have receipts for about $40-50k.
Make me an offer I can't refuse......

Rorik, you might want to mention in your listing which Cape Dory model Mathilda is?
Re: For Sale: s/v Mathilda
Looks like it might be a 28.

Thanks for noticing my error.
Mathilda is a 1979 CD 28, and documented.
I need to sell her before spring.
