Looking for:

Post by svadelante »

Hi,
I am looking for the following replacement part: an (index plunger?) stop for the I-beam traveler of my CD 30 C.

They don't sell them anymore and I was hoping someone might have them as spare parts.

It might take some searching but McMaster-Carr might have some
fasteners, bushings, washers, etc. that you could use to replicate that.

Might also try Ronstan, their series 19 has components which fit the CD30 travelers. I used them to build a traveller system for my 30.

Thanks

Thanks both for the information.

Skipd, you kept your original I beam and only changed out cars/stops? Do you have a picture or reference of the exact parts used?
I did once buy one of the 19 series stoppers but it didn't fit the I-beam..

I did keep the original track. The approach was based on another CD30 with a similar configuration. Following are images, info from Ronstan (I sent them a picture of the other CD30 traveler) with part numbers and parts purchase info. I opted to keep the existing Nicro Fico traveler to see how it worked which has been fine over the last 2 seasons.

Thank you for reaching out to Ronstan International. Happy to help here – this setup is based on the lineup we have in our Series 19 I-Track Traveller system. The RC61914 is indeed the traveller car pictured here. Attached to it looks to be two of our Series 20 Double utility blocks (on either side) for your traveller control lines. These can handle up to a 6mm line. For control ends, we recommend the Series 19 Single sheave control. As for the mainsheet block, it’s a bit hard to tell in the photo but our Series 50 Utility (double) block would be the best bet. This can handle up to a 12mm line. I’ve copied all of this below with included links for each product.

Series 19 Traveller Car, Channel Top RF61914
(Qty 2) Series 20 Utility Blocks, Double RF20202
(Qty 2) Series 19 Single Control Ends RF61985
