I was at the boatyard yesterday working on mast. Lots of fire engines arrived. Walked over to the ICW about 100 yards away to see what was going on. On the floating dock was a sport-fishing boat on fire. Smoke pouring out of the saloon. They cut holes in the side deck with a big power saw. Then smashed in the windows with poles and pumped water in to the boat. The fire fighters gained access with their OBAs on and eventually put the fire out.
Don't know the cause. They were up-wind of the fuel dock which was on my side of the boat basin. Could have been a whole lot worse.
Be safe out there.

Re: Boat Fire
I would be willing to bet that the boat did not have a 30 amp circuit breaker up from the selector switch
