I bought "winchers" for my Cd 25's barlow #15 winches as the package said that the small size fit that winch....no such luck. Wincher flops down over the winch drum. Am I missing something or do I need to take a trip back to West Marine and do a "return"? Thanks

Wincher for Barlow #15

Re: Wincher for Barlow #15
Are you putting them on up side down? The Winchers logo should be on top. The radial lines go on the bottom, to grip the line. Mine are loose above the winch (Barlow 15) but snug below. They are pretty easy to put on if you take the top of the winch off and put it inside the wincher, then screw the winch top back on.

Re: Wincher for Barlow #15
Jon : With the logo on top ( the other side is snug (not tight)around the drum).: but the logo/top side is very loose so the wincher slides down the drum and settles around the base of the winch. The top of the winch is so small that it doesn't even touch the logo/top side of the wincher. I wonder what's different with my barlow 15?

Re: Wincher for Barlow #15
Keith,
It sounds like either your Barlow 15s have smaller drums than mine, or your Winchers are larger. My Winchers are the smallest they make, but I don't know what size they call them. The top is fairly loose, so I usually tuck the top of the Wincher under the top of the winch as well. They never slide down the drum; the bottom of the Wincher grabs the drum too tightly.
All the best,
Jon
