Another try at Semco

Post by Frenchy »

A few years ago, I tried Semco on Grace's teak on the advice of my surveyor and really liked it. But I had some
things going on and neglected to recoat it, so I switched back to Cetol. This year, I'm back to Semco and have resolved
to stick with it. It's not for everyone. What I like is you could put on two coats in a day and after initial application, there's
no sanding -ever. It wears faster than varnish or cetol, so you have to watch that and recoat before it's too late. But it's
very easy to apply.
Anyway, enough of my blather. Here's a few pics.

i really want to try semco. but i have heard the teak sealer from starbrite is thicker and better. either way it looks good. a guy at my marina used semco as a sealer and varnished over it. a little darker but looked good.
