Some past owner installed NAVICO instruments in my CD-25. They probably work IF I could get the wiring right. The depth gauge works for about a minute every 10-15 minutes and the speedometer continually goes from 0.0 to the current speed and then restarts... so if you catch it at the top of it's cycle you can get a speed. But it should stay there. With the company out of business I thought someone might have some clues why I'm getting these behaviors. THANKS!

Re: NAVICO wiring
Sounds like the power is getting dropped and then picked up again. Look for rusted/corroded contacts from the instruments back to the power source(breaker panel). ALso the grounds could be the culprit, suffering from the same intermittent contact.
Start with a look at every inch of the wiring that is visible. If that proves ok, then get a voltmeter and see what the voltages are at the back of the affected instruments. There should be a loss of voltage when the problem is there. If so, then you have a bad contact somewhere in the power wiring.
That's my best guess..let us know what you find out.
