Our boatyard neighbor is selling his beautiful 1985 Cape Dory 31, Fair Wind. He was asking us today if we knew anyone who was interested so I suggested he post it here. He wasn't sure how to do it, so I offered to post a link for him.
We have seen Fair Wind and it is obvious how much love, care, time, and $$$ he has put into the boat. She is beautiful.

The owner of the beautiful yacht, Donald Brand (a Cape Dory Assn. member) sent me some additional information on Fair Wind this morning. I am including it here. He also indicated that he is flexible on the price.
"The boat was reconditioned at Lankford Bay Marina near Rock Hall. Work completed in 2014: new bottom gelcoat incl. new cutlass bearing with 10-year transferable warranty, new standing and running rigging, new sails, new prop & shaft, engine refurbished incl. new belts, hoses, water cooling pump, new bilge & sump pumps new dodger in 2015, new mooring light and wiring, new antennae, rewired navigation lights, teak refinished inside & out, new rub rail, new Harken jib furler, Std. Horizon VHF radio w/GPS, etc. Hot & cold pressurized water, head with shower. Typical sailboat accessories included. "
He also has a beautiful custom fabricated vinyl and aluminum rub rail that is over the teak rubrail. We were admiring it and that's how we happened to meet. That was done by Tony Vanderwal, 7333 Swan Creek Road, Rock Hall, MD 21661 – 410-708-4909. He is a skilled fiberglass mechanic who, as well, removed and replaced the bottom gel coat on the boat including replacing the cutlass bearing.
