Windpilot Windvane (Pacific Light) for sale

Purchased in 2015, used moderately for 2 seasons on a 25D. Perfect condition. .
Included are all components as if purchased new:

Pacific Light unit
Mounting unit w/hardware
2 windvanes, one for general use, one for light air
tiller hardware
blocks w/lines, misc items
manual
shipped in original packaging

Unit new is around $2000 ($1850 + air freight from Germany/Customs fees)

$1400 + cost of shipping (probably around $50 within U.S., can arrange local pickup, greater Boston area).

This is a wonderfully engineered and built product, change in plans & anticipated use forces the sale.

Hi SkipD,

Looking at purchasing a Windpilot Pacific Light and installing it on my 25D.

Did you have any issues bolting it onto the transom during your installation?

Hi Chris,

Have to dig back into my memory of the install. I believe the only challenge was clearance for some of the bolts around the reinforcement for the backstay fitting glassed into the transom or the hull/deck join. Cannot recall exactly how I handled it, there might have been some excess resin/caulk which I smoothed down or built up so the backing washers had a better flush surface. All in all no major obstacles, remember it as pretty straight forward.
The WindPilot is a beautiful piece of engineering and was a joy. Did sell the 25D in 2018, experimented with a pocket trawler, but now have a CD 30 (with B layout, same as the 25D) and plan on adding a vane next year.
