Sailboat "Typhoon" Weekender on custom built aluminum trailer. Trailer with torsion axle never was in water and has 100 miles on it in 2019. Boat had extensive refit from 2000 we have it, deck support "knees" and compression post under mast, new wood trim, new cushions and so on.... Have new sails and old sails too. 2.5 HP Nissan long shaft motor - little used.
Also I set it up for electrical trolling motor, new wiring with all breakers and switches and place for 3...4 trolling batteries.
Last 3 years sits on trailer in marina in North Florida Keys due to health problems.
I have more pictures, if interested send me PM

I just want to explain how the bottom looks: I applied ablative bottom paint in 2 layers, red first and green on top, to know how it warned out. So, if you see green, that the top layer and the red - where the green has warned out.
And I attached more pictures of the cabins when the boat was in the water and the new custom trailer.
Unfortunately my health prevented me to sail and maintain the boat from 2018, therefore we want it to have a new loving captain

I wish that I had room for another boat. My first love was a Typhoon that I saw at a boat show in 1971, I still love the typhoon. That is a great price, the trailer alone is worth your skin price.

I have place, but not health and kids are far from Florida. You are right, trailer was about $2,500 + what my friend made for me in welding shop. I am looking not for the big price but for right captain...

That's how I launched our typhoon on shallow ramp using spare tire for support and winch on the truck.
Easy and smooth launch and retrieval without extension.

That launching system is pretty innovative. I've never seen that before. Your Typhoon is beautiful, by the way. I don't
think it'll last long at that price. - Jean

I read somewhere about this method and decided that it's better than extension. What I changed - instead of driving truck slowly backward I added winch with "leash" on the truck, so I could slowly let trailer with boat go on the ramp, very controllable.
We really made this sailboat nice, now it still has all those improvement but the paint and varnish. At one point, after varnish deteriorated, we decided to keep teak naturally grey and let all exterior varnish to wear from the sun. But this is to new captain to decide.
