OK. Here is a couple photos. I found the other marina. 300$ mo or 25 day when available. Its right below the plaza probably very noisy. I leave tomorrow. Will go as far as I can. I like theLast Watch Alarm. I can set it for 20 min or so and get naps when its safe. No West Marine here cant find new sidelight

I take back all the bad thingsI said about Cabo. Its really nice. Maybe cuz the off season not crowded and not too hot. I evan got a slip in the marina $62 per nite 2/3 Ensenada price. Sailing nicely downwind all thewayaverage6-7 knots. Here is a photo of Bahia Tortuga. Not really a town but its connected to the highway. The other photo is abo San Lucas. Not going by plans. Taking my time. Anchoring so far every 48 hrs

Re: Leoma N. Pacific cruise
Not having good luck posting. Last week Monday I left Cabo thinking I could try my skills sailing upwind. NOT. Zero wind. Motored 50 mi to LosFrailes. Below the point in the photo. Next day winds 15-20. Tacked out 5 mi and in 5 mi made 4 mi in 3 hrs. Motired 45 mi to Los Muertos There was a restaurant. Stayed on anchor 5 days. Southerly winds sailed up to La Paz Marina was closed so anchored in a cove a couple mi out of The La Paz Harbor entrance. Git a slip for 3 nites@ $102 per nite. Met some sailors from my home port. Rented slip for anither week. Weekly rate $285. Monthly rate $816. Boat is functioning perfectly.
Having 2 nd thoughts about Hawaii. This area is so awesome. Everyone tells me Hawaii sucks evan worse than when I was there ‘89-‘92. No need to go there just to prove I can

Re: Leoma N. Pacific cruise
Im still in La Paz. Getting to know the city. I’ve decided to go home and get my shoulder replacements. Im in a lot of pain. Cant sleep. So many others are going up the bay to go on the hard fir the hurricane season. Some are trucking their boats to Ensenada and one guy is going putting his on a barge to Vancouver. A couple of guys hired delivery service to take their boats back up. I want to sail. Ive been told just tack offshore as close to the wind as possible till I can tack back to San Diego. Should be about 5-600 mi Somehow I dont think so. I will try. If I loose patience I got no problem motoring. Everyone seems to motor. Maybe I’ll get some southerly winds.
Anyway the boat is functionly perfectly. I stayed at a marina near the channel entrance. There is a long shallow channel between sand bars 7-8 miles to the crowded free anchorage and the city. The boats swing in and out with the tides. I plan to leave here Sunday. Might anchor a few nights to stall. Supposedly southerly winds should be comming later

Re: Leoma N. Pacific cruise
Ok so I’m a failure as a sailor. I think most of you knew I was never gonna make it to Alaska. Ive motored 100 hrs so far. The photo shows what the shaft alignment looks like. Gears were so hot It wouldn't shift. Shaft was hard to turn. I know why so many insist on doing all their own work. When I changed the oil and let the gear box cool It would shift. Checked for line in the prop and realigned couplings. I hope the problem is solved. I will probably use the motor a lot going home on Thursday. Winds 5 kt variable for Thursday and Friday. Can’t wait to come back. Millions of little coves and villas to explore.
