Hello from a newbie

Post by Watkins26 »

Just wanted to say hello. I have joined CDSOA. I am in the process of buying a 1972 Typhoon. It will need some work so I will have questions. Looking forward to interacting with others.

Welcome aboard, JC! You cannot find a better treasure trove of Cape Dory info than this board.
You will also be hard pressed to find a topic that has not been addressed!
Definitely use and enjoy the "search" section!

Welcome. Two suggestions:

Learn how to use the search function. Most topics have been addressed thoroughly

Put your location on your signature line. Very helpful to responders to know where you are.

btw My first boat was a Ty, and I loved it. You will too.

Yep, you can't think of anything that has not been discussed. However we will happily discuss again as it keeps the site going. Otherwise it is just quiet. Like a library. Also make sure you join the FaceBook group if you are on facebook. It is much more active. Dee

Hello and welcome.Great boat! This is the only forum you need. Just remember don't try to too much work all at once. Make sure to get some sailing in too . Have fun! Brian

While the facebook page is more active, finding specific information on facebook is extremely difficult!

I agree, not good for searches, but if you want feedback on your pictures, adventures, projects and getting replies, it is better because the audience that will reply is much much larger. Here it is limited to about 6 or so that are actively involved. Just my observation.
