I am thankful for....

Post by Seaweed2 »

I am thankful for my 1975 CD 28. A number of years ago when we were looking for a sailboat-Cape Dory to be specific, we came across our present boat only an hour from home. The owner was asking a reasonable price but had to get it sold. We couldn't raise the money at the time and he offered it to us for a fraction of its value. We have enjoyed it immensely, sailing on Lake Ontario. While we haven't yet met a lot of Cape Dory owners, we have had some nice experiences with the ones we have encountered so far!
I am also thankful for this site where I have been able to learn a great deal and CALMLY communicate with fellow sailors.
I am thankful for the freedom to be able to sail and for those who served this great country to preserve ALL of my freedoms. May God continue to richly bless us!

Concur. Lots to be thankful for--too much to list but the list includes this great forum and so many interesting and helpful forum members.

Happy Thanksgivings all...and happy sailing.

I'm thankful for my good old boat. everytime I step aboard I remember why I was drawn to sailing and sailboats. there are usually a few Cape Dorys at the marinas nowadays .. always good to see them. Cheers.

I'm thankful for so many of you who I have met through here! Sorry for the delay but I got to go to sea with Bob and Becky Dugan on a transit from VA to Antigua in November on their CD34X (well a Pacific Seacraft 34). I had a fantastic time! Here's me swimming in about 13,000ft of water about 400nm E or Peurto Rico: Image
